“Material as Narrative”, curated by KOLEKT, opened in November 2024 at Indebt Space in Amsterdam as part of our collaboration list for the 2024/2025 season.

The exhibition delved into the intimacy of surfaces, where texture becomes a language of its own. Material is not merely something to be seen; it is something the mind can touch, offering a way into a deeper understanding of form and presence. Coarse, delicate or impenetrable, the textures ask for active engagement rather than passive observation, and each surface carries a layered narrative of meaning and memory.

The exhibition brought together artists working across a variety of mediums.
